Fallas: Day 5 (19 March), pt. 3

Welch wunderbare Stille!

Fallas: Day 5 (19 March), pt. 2

Die Verbrennungen der Fallas. Wiederum: Die spinnen, die Spanier!

The burnings of the Fallas. Again: They're crazy, the Spaniards!

And last but not least: The burning of the main Falla on the Plaza Ayuntamiento.

Fallas: Day 3 (17 March)

Wir sind geflüchtet. Nach Villanueva de Castellón. Ein kleines Kaff am Ende der Metro Linie 1. Und haben dort Chinesisch gegssen.

We've fled the city. To Villanueva de Castellón. A small place at the end of the subway line 1. And there we've had Chinese food.

Fallas: Day 2 (16 March)

Sogar die brasilianischen (hier: spanischen) "Bailadeiras do Carnaval" (hab's versucht...) waren vertreten.

Even the Brazilian (here: Spanish) "Bailadeiras do Carnaval" (I've tried...) were represented.

Und danach direkt die Ritter. Welch ein Kontrastprogramm!

And directly after, the knights. What a contrast program!

Fallas: Day 1 (15 March)

Thursday night we went to look at some of the Fallas. Pretty impressing, those things. And at the thought of how much money they put into them, just to have them go up in smoke, it rolls up your toe nails. My opinion: They'd better invest the money in heated apartments. But what do I know, I'm just a clueless foreigner...
